Choose your cover paper and write a heartfelt words that will be your personal message in the pages of this tiny book. There will be selection of sayings so you can find the one that suits you best or compose your own. This miniature book is a sturdy little piece when carefully made. Like all handmade books, it’s even more precious with the maker's signature and date added. A small charm on the back echoes the sentiment with the words, “Made with love”.

This just might become your personal treasury of favorite go-to recipes. First you'll stitch the layers together using the special method of assembling two signatures. The paper selected is a heavier weight since this book is planned for lots of use. As the bookmaker, you have the option of including four pockets to store notes or more recipes on 3" x 5" cards. Start setting your favorite recipes aside so you can copy them into your journal ... and sketches welcome!

Make your book with pockets, a pop-up in the middle section, and inserts to write books you want to read this summer, books you finished, books you own and want to give to friends and more. You can decorate the pages and pockets with your own designs or use some suggested ideas that will be shown. A page of characters will be given that can be cut out and used too.

This is a traditional book structure that can be used for journal entries, drawings, poetry, ephemera or as a place for to record practical information. It's a small, practical size for purse or car; perfect for lecture notes, travel or shopping. Participants are encouraged to start making use of theirs in class. A blank book is of little value. A well-used book is rich with content and will enrich others who see it.
"Banned Book" (Adult or Children's Program) Ready to schedule

This has been a popular program for all ages since the first time I taught it during Banned Book week in September. The reason one of the six banned books is shown on top of a letter spelling out BANNED. When you lift the door or slide a card out of the pocket, you will reveal a miniature color photo of the cover of the banned book. Of course it's a favorite and often beloved book by many.
